Night Hawk Security and Consulting had the opportunity to participate in A Place at the Table’s Inaugural Giving Tuesday Ugly Sweater Holiday Party on November 29, 2016 at Buku “Global Street Food”! A Place at the Table is a pay-what-you-can nonprofit here in Raleigh whose mission is to provide healthy and nutritious foods to all regardless of means. This team prides themselves on being able to provide a location that is welcoming to all but will also serve good food (a dignified meal) at a pay-what-you-can price.  What does Pay-What-You-Can mean? You have 5 options:

pay-what-you-can

This concept is working to combat the problem of food insecurity in our Raleigh Community. Food insecurity is the status of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. 1 in 7 people in Wake County are food insecure. This means that on a given day, approximately 131,800 people either have no money for food or choose to pay for some other necessity.

Right now, A Place at the Table is actively seeking a location that will house this innovative and community minded concept! All donations will go to support the opening of the café!

Although #GivingTuesday has ended, there are still ways that you can get involved and support this non-profit!
